2009 Key Issues in Review

In early 2009, key staff at Environment Canada (EC) convened to review the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) established in 1999 concerning engine emissions. This meeting aimed to clarify the wording in upcoming regulations, especially in light of the recently released U.S. Environmental Protection Agency standards. The discussions focused on aligning Canadian and U.S. regulations to ensure environmental protection and public health.
