  1. 7.5 Multiplying and Dividing Radical Expressions

  2. Multiplying a Monomial by a Monomial (Multiply coefficients by each other & multiply what’s under the radicals by each other)

  3. Multiplying a Polynomial by a Monomial

  4. Multiplying a Polynomial by a Polynomial

  5. Rationalizing Denominators • Replacing the denominator with a rational number (getting the radical out of the denominator) • Multiply the num. & denom. by a # that will give a perfect square (or perfect cube or perfect root that you are taking) under the radical in the denom.

  6. Examples

  7. Conjugate binomials: • The conjugate of a + b is a – b and the conjugate of a – b is a + b.

  8. Rationalize the Denominator

  9. Example

  10. Rationalizing the Numerator
