  6. Crocs 4 Kids -Team Nicaragua DONATE YOUR OLD CROCS TODAY! SEE YOUR PE TEACHER (OR MRS. KELLEY)FOR DONATIONS YOUR OLD PAIR OF CROCS WILL PROVIDE THE ONLY PROTECTION THESE CHILDREN HAVE FOR THEIR FEET. EVERY PAIR COUNTS!

  7. Today marks the end of the 2nd Quarter Grading Period

  8. The 6th Grade Band Concerts will be held Tonight

  9. The Blue Band performs at 6 pm, and the Silver Band performs at 7:30. Students in the 6th grade band should arrive at least 30 minutes before the concert start time.

  11. Attention 8th Graders • Get ready for the • 8TH grade BACKYARD BASH • T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST

  12. Create a design to go on a white t-shirt which will be worn by the 8th graders at the annual end-of-year Back Yard Bash on June 3, 2013.

  13. The design should include: • The words “SMART’S MILL” • The words “CLASS OF 2013” • One color (which will go on the white shirt) • Design/language must be school appropriate

  14. Students should submit all designs to Mr. Eskew, Art Teacher, NO LATER THAN Thursday, January 31st.

  17. On Thursday January 31 from 3:30 - 5:30 Smart’s Mill PTA will be holding a 7th grade Fun Event in the school Gymnasium!!!!

  18. Come Play Minute to Win it games with your teachers & friends!!! Pizza & Snacks will be available for purchase. Entrance to the event is FREE!

  19. All students will have their names entered into a drawing (for FREE!) to win prizes from great Leesburg businesses like Sweet Frog, Jersey Mike’s, CiCis, and many more!

  20. All students that would like to attend will need to return the permission slip by January 23rd

  37. For every printer cartridge we recycle, we get $2.00 store credit at Staples. That can add up to a lot of school supplies for our teachers and staff!!!

  38. Grab your scissors and keep an eye out for the Box Tops for Education logo on the products you use every day. For every Box Top you clip, our school will receive 10 cents. That may not sound like a lot, but it adds up quickly.

  39. Bring your Box Tops for Education to your Focus teacher.  The focus group that collects the most will get a prize provided by the PTA
