Reseña histórica del Colegio Superior de Señoritas • Miss Mariam Le Capellain, primera directora • Planes de estudio en dos secciones: la literaria y la pedagógica • Baluartes en la lucha por los derechos civiles y políticos de la mujer costarricense • En la primera mitad del siglo XX, tuvo amplia participación en las luchas por obtener el derecho al sufragio femenino

  4. Reseña histórica del Colegio Superior de Señoritas • En octubre de 1923 cuando se funda en el gimnasio la Liga Feminista Costarricense, origen del feminismo en Costa Rica

  5. Egresadas • Ángela Acuña Braun, Carmen Lyra, María Teresa Obregón, Yolanda Oreamuno, Carmen Naranjo, Rima Rothe de Vallbona, Julieta Pinto, Lita Chaverri Matamoros, Vitalia Madrigal, Victoria Garrón de Doryan, Hilda Chen Apuy, María Eugenia Dengo, Carmen Granados, Elizabeth Odio Benito

  6. Edificio • Diseñado y construido por el ingeniero Lesmes Jiménez • Su estilo arquitectónico es de tipo renacentista en sus fachadas, en tanto que su interior se organiza en torno a un claustro o patio central al estilo neocolonial español

  7. Reseña histórica del Colegio Superior de Señoritas • “Institución Benemérita de la Cultura Costarricense”, mediante Acuerdo Legislativo Nº 2886 del 26 de abril de 1994. Durante la administración Carazo Odio (1978-1982)

  8. Uniforme • Arayas azules y enagua azul data de 1905, cuando por casualidad la señorita Esther Castro lo lució por primera vez; antes de ese año las estudiantes asistían sin ningún tipo de uniforme. Se oficializó a partir de 1907.
