Workstation GPU - AMD Graphic Card Radeon Pro WX 8200

If you support AMDu2019s professional graphics segment, youu2019ll be well knowledgeable of a gap in its product stack, a hole that has survived for quite a while now. The Polaris-based WX2100 to the WX7100 reached out quite a bit ago and remained so until the Vega GPUs began to ship. So far, only two Vegas-based Radeon Pros has been delivered, the WX 9100 and the beginning SSG, both based on Vega 64. So, where is the WX8100?

  1. Workstation GPU - AMD Graphic Card Radeon Pro WX 8200 If you support AMD’s professional graphics segment, you’ll be well knowledgeable of a gap in its product stack, a hole that has survived for quite a while now. Well, it turns out that it’s remained disappeared away for a while, and in fact, it’s been so long after the initial Vegas launch of the WX9100 that it earned an additional digit. The Vega56 based Radeon Pro is now finally out, and it’s called the WX8200 – yes, not 8100 as required, for reasons we have not been told. It fills in the gap within the 7100 and 9100, although based on achievement between the RX580 and Vega 56, which the two Radeon Pros based on, there will be quite a significant delta. The amount of $999 is surprising, though, but it does have half the memory of the WX9100. The WX8200 is also fairly aimed at the P5000 in terms of performance but gets in a bit cheaper. Things get complicated with the WX 8200 when the Vega FE card is the same price (if you can occupy hold of one) and begins with extra HBM2 memory. On top of that, the VegaFE has an introduction to the same Radeon Pro driver stack. The WX8200 does have lower power, ISV certifications, and ECC supporter (which is quite essential for several companies). Still, the card is quite late on the release, but at least it plugs a hole in AMD’s expert product stack and is one of the usual performant cards you can get in the cost range, mainly with blender and compute workloads.
