  2. The Holy Spirit Baptism of Holy Spirit Who was the Administrator ? Christ “I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:” Matt. 3:11 asv

John 1:32-33 (ESV) 32 And John bore witness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him. 33 I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ Acts 1:8 “(ASV) But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth .” Luke 24:9 - wait in Jerusalem.

Apostles Acts 1:5 (ASV) “For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence.” Acts 1:8 (ASV) “But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

  9. What about Cornelius ? Acts 10 & 11 8 to 10 years after Pentecost Holy Spirit was a “like” gift - Acts 11:17 What was the Reason for Baptism of Holy Spirit ? Not to guide them into all truth Not to save them Show the Jews that Gospel was also for Gentiles Acts 11:18 (ASV) 18 “And when they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then to the Gentiles also hath God granted repentance unto life.”
