Anaphora. Olivia Dierker. An anaphora is the repeated use of a word or phrase in the beginning of a sentence. It can be used for emphasis, but it is also easy to overdo it, which ruins the effect of it.

  5. Anaphora can be used for all kinds of sentences, such as questions, conclusions, etc. Again, it is nice for effect but must be used sparingly at the risk of sounding too emotional.
