  5. - Teacher: Maestro Justiniano Aquino Cruz • - Location: a nipa hut, 30 meters from Rizal’s aunt’s house. • - Paciano also studied under the teacher.

  10. Ateneo Municipal Rizal was 11 when admitted. sent by his father. He took a 5 yr curriculum leading to the degree of AB or bachelor of science Stayed at Calle Carballo in Santa Cruz

  13. Succeeding years • 2nd year – he moved to calle magallanes and he earned a medal. • 3rd year – he was placed as an intern In the college. • 4th year – he earned 5 medals • 5th year – he made a short story (Leyenda) that was enacted at the end of the course.

  14. Graduation Pepe graduated at March 23, 1877 Had very high scholastic records He graduated as one of the nine Sobresalientes (outstanding students) in his class.

  16. 1877-1878 Upon receiving BA in Ateneo he entered UST and took philosophy in his first year In second year he began to specialize in medicine He was undecided of what course to take He had taken agriculture in Ateneo while he was specializing medicine 1878-1882
