  3. ERP systems use Thousands of Tables • Each ERP system uses thousands of Tables • Data Items do not have standard sizes • ERP systems leave reporting to the companies that procure them

Data Warehouse standardizes Data Item size • DW team integrates data • Extracts data from source system and loads using SQLLoader • Uses warehouse builder to create maps and extracts data directly from database • DW team builds standard reports • DW makes reports available on the web • DW team implements ad hoc reporting system
