  3. Empowerment • Group has agreed TOR • Most of agenda is for local operational issues • Linking into the Kent & Medway SAB

  4. Protection • Looking at local solutions • Involving and supporting all agencies and groups of people

  5. Prevention • What help is out there? • ‘Common sense’ approach • Not just focused on or about process or protocols

  6. Proportionality • adult social care- SDS, social care teams, sensory loss teams, commissioning and client financial affairs • Community Safety Partnership • Youth Trust • Probation • Housing • Police-PPU and public engagement • Health services and partnership agencies-community, acute and mental health • Carers services • Service provider representatives-domiciliary and care home • Adult learning services • Medway LINk • Kent and Medway DoLs office Having the right people/organisations invited to the meeting: • Member representative-portfolio holder • Local ambulance and fire service • General Practitioner • CQC • BME groups • Local banking organisations • DWP • MULO

  7. Partnership • Local solutions • Working with the community • Key groups/organisations • Key lessons

  8. Accountability • Publish on Medway Council webpages • Invite comments/suggestions from the public - Facebook page? • Linking into and delivering the strategy and the work of the K&M SAB

So what have we learnt? • Facilitator that has ability to bring people/organisations together • Easy read versions of everything • Have a speaker/topic at each meeting • Be organised and flexible • Expert administration • Engagement with the public………....we are still trying • Make it local and relevant
