  1. NC Wise GradebookPOINT STYLE Grading Middle and High School

Teacher Assistant Module (TAM) • Open an Internet Browser & go to the NC Wise website >> http://esis.ncwise.org • Login to the Teacher Assistant Module (TAM) • Enter Username • Password • Database • After login, the user may see the Class Change Notification screen. Read the list then click the Check All button and click OK.

  3. TAM Vocabulary • Assessments: Terms used in TAM for student assignments. Assessments are instructional and attached by the teacher to an assessment type from a list created by the LEA. Teachers cannot change the assessment types. • Assessment >> Assignment: These terms are interchangeable. • Assessment Types: Activities given to students for which a grade will be taken. Example: Homework, Quiz, Test, etc. • Prep: A set of grading rules for a common class or subject area.

  4. Teacher Assistant Module (TAM) Progress Report >> Point Style Grading with ONE Assessment Type Grouped all assessments (assignments) in to ONE Assessment Type.

  6. Teacher Assistant Module (TAM) Setup My Options Screen Step 1: Click the SetupOptions button. Step 2: Click the Preferences button.

Make sure you have the correct settings for your Gradebook. Once the settings are saved you CANNOT CHANGE THE GRADEBOOK SETTINGS during the grading period!

Teacher Assistant Module (TAM) My Preps Screen • If you are creating ONE Prep please name the Prep Your NC Wise Username-Subject Area. • Example: Candace Parker-Science • If you are creating MORE than one Prep please name the Prep Your Username-Course Name. • Example: Candace Parker-AP Chemistry Review the My Prep Screen. Make sure you have the correct settings for your Gradebook. Once the settings are saved you CANNOT CHANGE THE GRADEBOOK SETTINGS during the grading period!
