Opportunities for NCAR staff to host graduate students and support them in their thesis research at NCAR with the endorsement of their University advisors Funding for 3-12 month student visits; travel and per diem Funding for 1-2 visits by faculty advisor of up to 2 weeks at a time Advanced Study ProgramGraduate Student Visitor Program Sharmila Padmanabhan, Colorado State University (EOL) • Student visitor participation in ASP career development and social activities • During its inaugural year, 19 students and 13 advisors came to NCAR under GVP auspices • 18 applications received for new visits starting before January 2008 • 10 students and 10 advisors will be funded Michelle Hawkins, Howard University (ACD) with Robert Houze, ASP Thompson Lecturer
