  6. Why • Social Interaction between barterers • No commission (compared to E-bay, Amazon) • Strengthen underlying trust in the university community • Fosters efficient, inexpensive, easy transactions • Social Experiment – Personal Goal • Extracting value of a product through reuse

  7. Challenges • Critical mass essential to becoming an established application • System can be abused (no guarantee on quality/value of products) -> weaken trust in community • Associating value to a product – how ?
