  1. Application of transformer oil Here we are talking about applications of transformer oil. The transformer oil is of utmost use in transformer oil industry. Basically transformer oil is also known as insulating oil is that oil which remain stable at high temperature. It is obtained by fractional distillation followed by treatment of crude petroleum. Application of transformer oil is: Ø It has excellent insulating properties. Ø It helps to dump heat generated by transformer. Ø It secures core and winding which is immersed in oil.
