  3. LandThe Luray Caves The caves are found in the Shenandoah Valley. The Luray cave is one of Virginia’s most famous natural wonder. In the caves there is a lake called Dream Lake. It is 20 inches deep and it has a mirror like appearance. Dream Lake Inside Luray Caverns

  4. EconomyAgriculture When Virginia was first formed Tobacco was the most valuable crop. In the present day livestock such as cows and chickens are the most valuable resource. Cows and Chickens Tobacco Harvested

  7. Culture George Washington was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia on February 22, 1732. He was the first president of the United States. His house, Mount Vernon is located in Mount Vernon, Virginia. Mount Vernon

  8. Culture Thomas Jefferson was born in Shadwell, Virginia on April 13, 1743. He was the third president and author of the Declaration of Independence. His house, Monticello is located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Monticello

  9. Culture The Pentagon is located in Arlington County, Virginia. This building is the location of the United States Department of Defense and is in the shape of a Pentagon. Pentagon
