The Superfast Business programme aims to: Enable Dorset businesses to gain competitive advantage through the take up and exploitation of Superfast Broadband and associated technologies Benefit the Dorset economy by helping businesses to grow
  3. 12 hours of support from advisers and technical specialists AND access to information on the knowledge hub web site All fully funded (free to businesses!) Available throughout the South West and delivered in Dorset by WSX in partnership with Dorset County Council and the Local Authorities What is Superfast Business?

Advice, consultancy and workshops to help businesses use technology to: Grow sales (web site, e-commerce, on-line customer acquisition and retention) Engage with customers (digital marketing and social media strategy) Work flexibly (home/mobile working, VPNs, share documents, cloud computing) Become more efficient and save money (Voice over IP, production efficiencies, ICT strategy, SaaS, collaboration with customers and suppliers, videoconferencing) What is the support for?

Project examples Using Google Adwords to increase web traffic – increased sales of £2000 in first week and 20% increase in enquiries Developing an app to improve customer experience Developing ICT strategy to move to cloud and SaaS (cost reduction) Developing social media strategy – advice on which channel and developing content Finding a CRM system to allow automation of some web enquiries, reminders etc. – Improved customer service and free up staff time.
  9. Progress to date Programme started summer 2013 Over 100 Dorset businesses engaged in the programme 36 have already received 12 hrs of support Open to new clients through to December 2014 Project ends March 2015

ERDF funded so eligibility criteria apply SME based in Dorset (<250 employees) Growing or with aspirations and potential to grow Some business activities are excluded by ERDF (e.g. retail, agriculture, healthcare, financial services, education) If in doubt come to us and we will check eligibility We have a separate programme available for ineligible businesses funded by the Dorset LEP
