  19. ¿POR QUÉ MEDIR EL TRÁNSITO?

  20. ¿Por qué medir el Tránsito? El tránsito constituye la variable a medir en lo que se denomina “Estudio de Demanda”. Generalizando, el estudio de demanda está destinado a determinar los ingresos ($$$) en cualquier Evaluación de Proyecto (público o privado), en particular en la evaluación de proyectos de caminos, el tránsito generalmente tiende a solventar los costos de la inversión con el ahorro de los costos de operación de vehículos, pero existen casos como la concesión por peaje que determina el nivel de ingresos por cobro de tarifa de peaje.

  21. ¿Por qué medir el Tránsito? • Evaluación de proyectos ($$$). • Determinante en el cálculo de estructura de pavimentos. • Se utiliza en diseño geométrico de caminos. • Se utiliza en la planificación de sistemas de mantenimiento de caminos • Se utiliza para determinar ampliaciones de capacidad. • Se aplica a la seguridad vial con fines estadísticos. • Permite realizar proyecciones en base al comportamiento histórico
