  4. Introduction • AC2766 CDMA 1X &EV-DO wireless data card is developed and manufactured by ZTE Corporation, supporting laptops and other equipments with USB interface.

  7. Insert T-Flash card • Open modem in the direction indicated by the arrow. • Insert T-Flash card in the direction indicated by the arrow. • Push back the cover of the modem

  8. Install Insert the data card into laptop directly, and then Click my computer and find “ZTE USB MODEM”

  9. Install Double click the “ZTE USB MODEM” and then click setup file

  16. Install • After finish the installation, and you can find the shortcut on the desktop as follows.

  17. Install • After the installation, go to device manager and find “ZTE USB Modem FFF1” under “Modem” and “ZTE Service Port FFF1 ” under “Port”. If they are not found, please remove the software and reinstall it. Please refer to the ports and modem interface on the next page .

  19. Uninstall First select Start Programs(Appropriate Uninstall), and you will be asked if you want to remove the program. Click “Yes” to uninstall. Secondly, please wait and then click “OK” to complete uninstall.

  20. Usage introduction • Click the shortcut and show the following user interface.

RCV/STV activation • RCV/STV activation • Clickbutton to enter the RCV or STV activation interface, which prompts you to enter a 16-digit Pin code and click “Activate” button to recharge. • After receiving your message, the system will send back a short message with confirmation of successful recharge. • Note: RCV/STV activation function can be used only when 1X or Hybrid mode is selected in network settings .

  25. Connect and disconnect Clickicon to set the relevant parameters. For details, please refer to “Settings”. Clickto enter the interface. Click Please connect the USB Modem and PC with USB extension cable under weak signal to obtain the optimal performance. If necessary adjust the USB Modem’s position and the antenna’s direction. Click to disconnect from Internet.

Connection log Click iconto view Connection Log.Connection records save the previous relevant information including Start at, Duration and Transmit bytes, which will help you to know the status easily. By switching among “List”, “Monthly” and “Statistic”, you could inquire the recordsevery time, by month or by time. Note: The relevant information contained in connection records are just for user’s reference rather than the charging basis.

  27. Settings • Pay attention to the Setting option on the main window, click the Setting and choose Setting option as follows

  28. Settings • Input the correct Username and Password, and the default Phone Number is #777,the User and Password is assigned by the service provider. You can consult them for details.

Settings • Set the network parameters (phone number, username, password), work mode, etc. • After the setting, click “Apply” button to save the settings on the current interface. • Click “Default” button and then “Apply” button to restore the settings on the current interface to factory default. • To check your mobile phone number, click “Check my phone number” button. After receiving your message, the system will send back a short message with mobile phone number associated with your MBlaze modem. • To check your account balance, validity period and remaining activated data bundle (if applicable), click “Check my balance” button. After receiving your message, the system will send back a short message with your balance related information.

  30. Mode Introduction Modem operates in three modes. High speed 1X — When user selects this mode modem will latch only to High speed 1X network. Broadband — When user selects this mode modem will latch only to Broadband network. Here user will observe higher data speeds and rich web browsing experience. HYBRID — When user selects this mode modem will latch on to the available service so that user can enjoy seamless connectivity.

  31. About Help information • If you want to know about the UI and software of modem version information, you can choose Help menu. For instance the current UI version is V1.0.18 and the software version of modem is LU9AD409 as the following red area.

  35. FAQ Q1. Error occurs during the program installation Cause: The setup file maybe damaged Solution: Please download the program at website http://www.mtsindia.in/mblaze and reinstall it. Q2. Open port failed Cause I: Directly run the software before the data card is plugged in Solution: Close the software , and plug in the data modem and run the software again. Cause II: The port is occupied by other applications, such as “hyper terminal” , or the software is already running. Solution: Close the relevant software and run the software again.

  36. FAQ Cause III:The driver is not installed successfully Solution:Check the following port , if find the yellow icon, please uninstall the driver and install it again.

  37. FAQ • Q3 No signal indicated Cause I: Out of the service area Solution: Make sure the position for the customer is in the CDMA network service area Cause II: The antenna or RF component is damaged Solution: Replace the USB modem

  38. FAQ • Q4Dialing failed Cause I: Wrong settings of parameters, such as phone number, user name ,user password. Solution :Correct the parameters settings, consult your service provider for details. Cause II: Network congestion or failed Solution: Try again later Cause III : Not enough money Solution: Consult your service provider for details.

Internet connection failure Cause I: The data modem is already connected Solution: Disconnect and reconnect Cause II: The local network signal is poor Solution: View the signal strength indication on the UI interface and make sure whether the signal is weak. And then rotate your laptop direction to get the optimal performance.

  40. FAQ Q6. The installation program can’t run automatically Cause I: The program has already been installed in the current system. Solution: Remove the original program and insert the modem again Cause II: Autorun function in CD-ROM is disabled because of installation of anti-virus software in the system, or Windows Vista system itself disabled Autorun function in CD-ROM in default. Solution: Open "My Computer" to enter CD-ROM disk ordinal, and double-click Setup.exe to install manually.

FAQ Q7 Restart installing UI driver problem ( the driver is already installed successfully, when insert the data card again, the computer always require installing the driver) Cause: The UDisk Monitor function is disabled Solution: Right click my computer and choose manage, open “Services” option in the Computer Management, and start the “UDisk Monitor ” function by hand.

FAQ • Q8The driver might be unable to work and the application is unable to run normally if the terminal is pulled out and plugged in again when the application is being used under Win2000 (SP4) operating system .In this case, the device in device manager will be marked with yellow exclamation mark, and the system must be restarted to run normally. Cause :The operating system needs installing Update Roll 1 patch for Win2K SP4.
