Establishing Effective Decision-Making and Community Engagement in the Amador-Calaveras Consensus Group

The Amador-Calaveras Consensus Group aims to foster balanced efforts to enhance environmental, economic, and social well-being in local communities. In our discussions, we focus on decision-making structures, including the roles of the executive committee and sub-committees. Key questions guide our mission, such as the inclusion of recreation and defining membership criteria. Our vision underscores the importance of sustainable economies and healthy ecosystems in Amador and Calaveras Counties. Next steps involve authorizing a subcommittee to define guiding principles and forest restoration strategies.
