  1. When I Feel Wiggly, I Know What To Do--

  2. When I am feeling wiggly and need to move my body, I know what to do! • I can think of myself like Lightning McQueen going too fast- • VROOM!!! That’s not safe! • Slow it down, McQueen-

  3. When my body is wiggly and going too fast, I can calm right down. • Mommy and my teachers know what might help me feel calm and good again! • When I am wiggly, there is no running inside the house. Too fast, Brian! • When I am wiggly, I can choose instead--

  4. Some ideas for feeling calm are these: • (*Insert Name)- thought you might help here- what do they want him to use? What helps? At school he is more distracted than busy- so I’ll need specific ideas • (ie not just heavy work, but what can he do? Carry the jugs? Push the wall? Not sure-) • I can pick the one that works for me. • The timer will tell me when I am done. Ding!

  5. Sometimes at school, I might feel too slow! It might be hard to listen and to do what I need. • I can think of my body like Lizzie in Cars, going too slow and needing some gas. • Rev it up,(*Insert Name)! Let’s go!

  6. When my body is tired and going too slow, I can get some gas and feel ready again- Help!! • When I am going slow like Lizzie, I can ask for help. • I can tell my teachers, “I need some gas! Its hard to listen right now!” • My teachers know what I can do to feel ready again!

  7. When my body’s too slow and needs some gas, here are ideas for feeling ready again: • Hannah and Chris, again looking for ideas. I think the fidgets have been – at least at school- more a distraction than a focuser right now. Maybe they need to be attached at belt loop like a fidgety key chain – or more like a quick walk or jumping on a tramp before group activities? You know Brian the best • I can pick the one that works for me. • The timer will tell me when I am done. Ding!

  8. I can help my body to go just right!I can ‘slow it down’ or ‘rev it up’ and get ready for learning… • Mommy and my teachers can help me to choose . • McQueen, and Lizzie and Brian can all follow the speed limit to go just right! Beep- beep!!
