Grade 4 Lesson 13: Dates to Remember and Contact Information

In Grade 4, lesson 13, we cover essential dates and contact information for parents. Students are learning key concepts in math, including multiplication and place value up to 1 billion, while also enhancing their reading comprehension and writing skills. Topics include the founding of the nation and explorers like Lewis and Clark. Weekly practice in multiplication is crucial for fluency. We encourage reading homework on "Sacajawea, Guide to Lewis and Clark." Thank you for your support! For questions, contact Mrs. Vaughn at 501-447-3887 or email emily.vaughn@lrsd.org.

It seems like we just got started; yet, the holidays are right around the corner. We have been busy learning some pretty big concepts this year. Students have been introduced to 2 digit multiplication. Please continue to practice basic multiplication facts. Students need to be fluent so they don’t have difficulty multiplying the bigger numbers. We will be wrapping up our study on the birth of our nation and the 13 Colonies, and starting a unit on Lewis and Clark. Students will be reading Sacajawea, Guide to Lewis and Clark as we travel west. This will be assigned reading homework, so please help your child keep up with this book. Thanks for all you do! Mrs. Vaughn
