This study presents a comprehensive analysis comparing three different particle detection scenarios: Ctalk (big pad), No Ctalk, and First Pad Selected, as outlined by Simone Brusa from INFN-Ferrara. We investigate aligned and misaligned scenarios with specific measurements for M4A and M4C pads, utilizing the latest geometry versions for Gauss, Boole, and Brunel software. The results reveal significant differences in X and Y residual distributions and the effectiveness of track selections leading to the conclusion that the “PADONE” configuration is optimal for our purposes.

SELECTION STUDIES Comparison between Ctalk, No Ctalk, first pad selected Simone Brusa, INFN-Ferrara
OUTLINE Aligned scenario 1.B off • Three differents possibility for each of them (in order of analisys): • Ctalk (big pad); • No Ctalk; • First pad selected; Misaligned scenario in X: M4Aside=3mm, M4Cside=-6mm Aligned scenario 2.B on Misaligned scenario in X: M4Aside=3mm, M4Cside=-6mm New geometry and the last version of Gauss, Boole, Brunel are used in all the scenarios . M1-M5 are the fixed stations. Simone Brusa, INFN-Ferrara

# Of tracks comparison The total number of processed tracks are not the same for all the cases Simone Brusa, INFN-Ferrara
RESULTS FROM THE COMPARISONS But I think that rebbining for the chamber dimensions in the case of Y, we can use the Ctalk (big pad) without troubles Simone Brusa, INFN-Ferrara
CONCLUSIONS • I think that the best selection for us is to use the “PADONE” for several reasons: - Shape of X (Y rebbining) residual distributions • Number of tracks respect No Ctalk selection Simone Brusa, INFN-Ferrara
