  2. Tag Generation • Creating the Inventory tags • On running this utility, Old tags will be deleted for this stores and new tags will be created. • Can run the tag generation for One or More stores.

  3. Buck tags • Buck tag can be created on tag generation. Do not generate the tags then come back and try generating additional or buck tags. • Additional tags can be created in the tag editor. New record must have unique tag and part id. (the part id for buck tags may be changed if tag not posted).

  4. Actual Tags Use the reports / tag inventory / Tag form to print the tags. The Laser tab form will repeat the Tag 3 times on one sheet. One sheet for one part( or One lot for the part is one sheet if using lot control

  5. Use Manufacturing / tag inventory / tag editor Tag Entry • Enter the counts in the tag editor. • Enter Tag ID to enter one tag at a time. Save entry. • Enter the Stores code and execute the query. This will bring up all tags for the stores. Now, find tag and modify the record with the count.

  6. On Count Entry, Last count date will Populated (current date). • Tag Status will change from Open to Closed. • Counted By is intended for persons initials whom counting the tag; it is used for audit purposes.

  7. Questions / Answers before Posting • Are all the tags been counted? Check tag status. Run one of the following reports: or Tag Status Report Check only Open tags Missing Tags Report • Can I start auditing before all tags are counted? YES

  8. Posting Tags This Utility is Critical for Tag inventory. Action Date:. Once a Date is selected for the stores (or the full physical), the date should Never Change! Complete Physical: this question should read – Only check this box on first post of the store room. On additional post, do not check! Mfg / TI / Post Tags

  9. Behind the scenes of Post Tags Before After On Post in the stock status editor. • The On Hand Qty for the part is being recorded as the Book Qty. With the complete physical checked, it is update the only tags status that is open or closed (not posted or voided). • The Qty entered in the tag editor is recorded as Physical count. • Lastphysical date is the date used in the post utility (with complete inventory checked, the last print date is updated with same date).

  10. Physical Count Audit • This utility will produce the Audit report. • On running during auditing, Make sure NOT to check the Update Stock Status. • The Physical Date should be same date used on the Post Tag as action date.

  11. Physical Count Audit Report This report will display all parts counted Either by Part ID or Stores Locations (on the utility). There will be physical qty, book qty, a qty variance between phy & book qty, and a $ variance based off standard cost for each part. There will be a 2 break downs – ABC codes and Part Status - at the end $ variances for the full stores.

  12. Recount / Audit Tag Editor Repeat If variances are unsatisfactory Re-enter counts as required Tag will go from posted back to counted. Post Inventory Tags Remember to USE SAME DATE as last Post DO NOT CHECK COMPLETE PHYSICAL PhysicalAudit Re-run to check new variances.

  13. Acceptable Variances • Run Physical Audit Report checking this time to update the stock status. • Final Audit Report should be retained for records.
