A. Investment Policy of Promoting Clean Tech • China has made huge investments on the production capacity of hydropower, wind power, nuclear power and solar power sectors. China is the biggest nation at present in the construction of nuclear power capacity in the world. • The non-fossil energy will account for 15% in total primary energy production by 2020 according to the official plan.
B. Fiscal Policy for Promoting Use of Clean Tech • Central government launched the new energy vehicle demonstration and extension work in public transportation in 13 cities since 2009. The target is 60,000 vehicles in 3 years. • Promoting the use of semiconductor lighting in the 21 cities in the area of municipal projects.
C. Supporting the Production of Clean Tech • Subsidy policy to solar power industry in 13 economic and high-tech zones (Central government provides subsidy for key equipments, 50% of bid price). • Price policy: the state grid purchases solar power at reasonable price.
.D. Eliminating Backward Production Capacity • Eliminating the small size thermal power generating units and other over-high energy consumption industries, such as steel, paper ,cement and so on with rigorous standard of environmental production.
