Paul Revere (1735-1818) • Paul Revere was a silversmith • Paul Revere lived when England controlled colonies • Paul Revere belong to the Son of Liberty= wanted • freedom for England • British Gov’t .put taxes on goods • He warned the colonies the red coats are coming • Also he was a mail carrier • The Revolution war whet on for 8 years • Paul Revere is like diligence = hard working liberty = freedom

Frederick Douglass1818-1895 • His childhood affect his live because he was a slave • Born in Baltimore , Maryland • He wanted to learned how to read • he wanted liberty • He work and had to give the money to the owner • He planed his escape • Borrow paper and dress like a sailor and escaped • He did lots of speeches against slaver • His obstacle was he was a slave • Gave lots of speeches for freedom • Liberty = means freedom Douglass worked for his own freedom and for all • African Americans • Hardworking = because he wanted freedom and did not give up • Freedom of conscience and expression = that people have the right to think • and say what they believe
