  3. Directions: • Put your name on your paper • Project is due June 13 • Listen to Mrs. Ventura & Ms. Micklo describe the project  • Don’t ask any questions yet!!!

  4. Your Goal for this Project! • You get to select projects that you are interested in • Your goal is to spend at least$11.00 • You may not pick more than 2 menu items per course

  5. Appetizers ($1.00 each):Crispy FriedAdvertisements – make an advertisement convincing others to read HatchetJumbo Lump Artcakes– make a mobile, poster, etc.Claymation Quesadilla– use Playdoh, homemade clay, etc. to create a model of Brian’s shelter

  6. Side Dish ($2.00 each): • Poetry Potato Salad– write a poem about Hatchet or find a poem that relates to the book • Mashed Puzzlers– use the Internet to create a crossword puzzle with vocab. Words • Picture Book Stew- Read a picture book and make a foldable using the story elements

  7. Main Courses ($3.00 each): • Canadian Nature Salad– use Internet to research animals & plants native to Canada • Technology Alfredo– create a PowerPoint presentation • Survival 9 oz. Sirloin– complete a graphic organizer with tools needed for survival • Deluxe Math Burger – use the book to create a calendar of Brian’s adventures and other math problems • Medical Mahi-Mahi – use the Internet to research medical problems that occurred in the book

  8. Dessert ($5.00 each): • Micklo’s Scrumptious Survival Sundae- make your own survival guidebook • Ventura’s Literature Cheesecake with NovelnutTopping-read a novel & pass the Reading Counts Quiz

  9. TURN YOUR PAPER OVER TO THE BACK!

  10. Expectations • Do your work to the best of your ability • Use your time wisely • Have appropriate interactions with your peers and your teachers • Your paper must be signed by 3 people by Thursday May 26th • Yourself • Teacher • Parent/Guardian

  11. Negotiate (get activities checked) by Mrs. Ventura or Ms. Micklo by: Tuesday, May 24th

  12. Renegotiate Option • If the activity you selected does not suit you, you may renegotiate 1 time. • Last day for renegotiation is June 2nd.

  13. You may pick the activity you want to work on each day.After selecting the center of the day, go to the appropriate location and get working!

  14. No late work will be acceptedProject is worth 110 points! Project is due June 13th **You may earn extra credit for completing more than $11.00 worth of activities (Max of $13.00)
