  2. Payton Manning • Payton Manning was a All- American at the University of Tennessee. • Was the runner up on the 1997 heisman trophy winner Charles Woodson. • Was Drafted to the Indianapolis Colts with the first over all pick.

  3. Went 3-13 his first year starting all of his teams 16 games. • Went on the next year to go 13-3 and win one of his many trips to a Pro-Bowl. • Won his first playoff game in the 2003 playoffs against Denver, and took his team to the AFC championship game.

  4. The second pick in the draft that year was Ryan Leaf who has already fallen out of the league. Played the Nebraska Cornhuskers in his last game and lost in the Orange Bowl.

  5. ELI Manning • Eli Manning was like his brother a candidate for the 2003 heisman trophy but lost to Jason White of Oklahoma. • He also attended a SEC school like his brother but went to Mississippi instead • His father Archie went to Mississippi as well.

  6. Eli was first drafted #1 overall to the San Diego Chargers but was traded to the New York Giants. • He started the season as back up to former 2 time league MVP Kurt Warner. • But now is the Starter.

  7. There is a pedigree that this family has for quarterbacks. • Their father Archie is a legendary quarterback for the New Orleans Saints.

  8. In Conclusion I am a big fan of football and of quarterbacks and I am amazed at the success that this family has had in the sport. Payton is on his way to the hall of fame, and his brother I am sure over time will get there as well. In this day of athletes acting in ways that they shouldn’t and embarrassing their families and teammates it is refreshing to see two young men whom do there jobs the right way and work hard doing it.
