  19. Key points - remember Three Crucial Questions • Each company that takes ownership is required to have certification – EVEN if they don’t take possession • In most cases, processors need CoC. In all cases, they need an onsite audit • Once product is packed into consumer ready, tamper proof packs, CoC is no longer required*

  22. 1st link in the supply chain If assessing the 1st link: • Trace to a certified source (CoCst 3, criteria 2.1): • Does your client buy from vessels or companies that represent the vessels as identified by the Unit of Certification? • If not, does your client’s supplier appear in the Supplier Directory? • If not, your client’s supplier also requires CoC certification? • Information is found in the fishery assessment report (CR 27.12)
