  2. IncreasingSchool Meal Take Up in Portsmouth • A partnership project between the local authority project team and the School Food Trust Local Authority Targeted Support Team • Aim: to increase the take up of school meals across Portsmouth • Timescale: September 2010 - March 2011

  3. Why Portsmouth? • A willingness to work with the SFT to improve take up • Recommendation by GOSE

  4. School Meal Delivery in Portsmouth • 51 primary schools (2 in house) • 10 secondary schools (5 in house) • Contracted to Eden • 37 production kitchens • No school food team separate to LA catering provision
