We address mobility and accessibility issues with inconvenient media setups by integrating screen, speakers, and console in a portable unit with just one cord. Our design includes options for external connections, plexiglass cover, and storage for accessories. Challenges include heat management, system balance, and cost-effective prototyping. We aim for an optimized layout that caters to both functionality and aesthetics.

The Problem Mobility and Accessibility Inconvenient setup and disconnection Difficult to transport
Requires home media setup… …which is usually in the family room http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Home_cinema_01.jpg
How we Intend to fix it • Screen, speakers, console in one portable unit • Just one cord (self-contained) • Modified layout of internal Xbox 360 components • Option to connect external audio and video receivers • Plexiglas covering • Space for controller and game storage
Design Challenges and Limitations • Removal of heat (GPU, CPU) • Balancing of the system (monitor) • Creating outputs for external sources (video/audio) • Extending/shortening internal components (Soldering wires) • Making prototype cost effective (adhere to budget) • Optimizing internal layout to allocate sufficient space for each component • Ensure unit is aesthetically pleasing • Create single power output (merge all power sources)
