  2. Campus Security Plan • Jeanne Clery Act (Annual Security Report) • University Police Department or Campus Security Office • Crime reporting policies • Timely Warnings of Clery Crimes • Emergency Response and Notification • Access to grounds and buildings • Annual Disclosure

Violence Prevention Plan • Threat Assessment Teams • Gained wide recognition after Virginia Tech • Used to identify members of the University community who are exhibiting unusual behavior. • Violence Prevention Committee • Meet regularly to plan long term training and policy recommendations to University administrators.

  4. Critical Incident An extraordinary event which places lives and property in danger and requires the commitment and coordination of numerous resources to bring about a successful resolution.

  5. Types of Critical Incidents • Terrorist Activities / WMD Events • Natural Disasters • Transportation Accidents • Criminal Activities • Fires / Hazardous Material Accidents Whether a critical incident is the result of an accidental or an intentional act has no impact on our emergency response plan.
