Travelling Nepal would be fascinating if you visit Nepal on favorable season. It is very important to acquire the information about the seasons and its offerings. • There are particularly four travelling season in Nepal and each season is peculiar in its own way. One season might not be preferable for another and so on.

The Nepal trekking season is classified as follows: • Autumn (September – November) Autumn season is the best season for trekking in Nepal, which offers wonderful weather and excellent mountain views. Moderate temperature, clear sky and outstanding view makes it great time for travelling Nepal. Occasional short storms at high altitude might distract your trip.

  4. Winter (December – February) • This season invites heavy snowfall at higher elevation in Himalayas. Though it gets cold in Nepal, day remains clean with blue sky. It is said that mountains are at its best in winter. If you want less-crowded trail and okay with extremely cold temperature, winter might be the best season for you. • However you must be selective in choosing the winter trekking as peak climbing or crossing high passes won’t be the ideal option. Treks like Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Tsum valley with Manaslu Trek etc. can be done even in winter.

  5. Spring (March – May): • The trekking trail are decorated with magnificent wild flowers making it a haunting paradise during this spring season. It is second best season trek and finest season to climb the summit. It is mildly warm at lower elevation and at higher evevation the mountain views are excellent and temperature is quite moderate.

  6. Summer (Jun – Aug): • Summit starting June mid-September makes travel wet and warm. These times are ideal for keen botanist as the higher valleys and meadows blossom with flowers and lush vegetation. • Trekking in rain-protected area - Upper Mustang and Upper Dolpo Trek could be an ideal trek option.
