Kindergarten News Next week we will be practicing the letter Bb. Please have your child bring in a picture of something that starts with the letter Bb on MONDAY, labeled with your child’s name. Pictures will not be returned, we will make a class poster and 1 friend will bring it home! Open House I hope to see all of you at our Curriculum Night on Wednesday, September 19that 6:30. I will be discussing all of our classroom policies and procedures. I will also be discussing what our new Kindergarten blended learning model will look like this year. You will also be able to sign-up for November conferences. We will have our classroom party sign up sheets posted for the school year. Bear –Day Friday 9-14 Please have your child bring in a stuffed bear on Friday for our Bear Day. We will make a bear book, read to our bears and sort gummy bears (and yes, we will eat the gummy bears! Fun!) All About Me/Names Our first week of school we did a lot of activities dealing with our names! We also learned about classroom rules and procedures Pete the Cat has been a huge hit in our classroom! Pete the Cat books are in our September book orders this month! Daily Folders Please send your child’s folder to school everyday. Every day I check their folder for notes and put any new information coming home inside. Please be sure to empty the folder each night at home. Entertainment Books Entertainment books are coming home today! Please read all of the information inside your child’s bag! Thank you! Kindergarten Teacher Workshop Monday, September 10th All of the Kindergarten teachers at Beacon Tree will be subbed out on Monday, September 10th for the entire day. We will be learning about the new technology that we are so fortunate to have in our classrooms! Kindergarten Lunch Please discuss the lunch menu with your child each day to see if they would like to order lunch. If your child would like to order lunch for the following day we will put a note in your child’s backpack informing you. The lunch mothers have also requested that you put your child’s name and classroom teacher’s name on their lunch bag. Milk can also be purchased separately. Your child can purchase the hot lunch for $2.50. Please refer to the ABC’s of Kindergarten packet “L for Lunch” if you have any questions about making payments for school lunches or the lunch calendar.
