Food Kit Foxes eat many different things. Snakes, lizards, prairie squirrels, insects, berries, nuts, rabbits, black-tailed jack rabbits, cottontails, kangaroos, rats, grasshoppers, horned toads, rodents, birds, grasses and fruit. They get water from the body fluids of their prey.
Looks Like They look so cool they even change color. Kit Foxes have large ears, a slim body, slender legs, a narrow nose, and a bushy tail. They are tan and yellowish gray. Kit Foxes looks like a cat or dog. Full grown male kit can be 80.5cm. And weigh 5 pounds. A full grown female kit can be 76.9cm. And weight 4.6 pounds. A baby kit is 45.5cm and weighs between 1-2 pounds.
Habitat They live in fine looking places. Lives in prairies, grasslands, woodland and meadows. Prefers dry bushy areas. Lives in deserts and plateau regions.
Adaptation Not many adaptations means not many predators. In the summer tan in the winter it’s silver gray. Ears cool it off. Sucks fluid out of prey.
Interesting Facts Live long time ( ten years ) The kit fox is endangered from many people shooting them over the years.
