  3. The kit fox is a small fox. It has a gray coat with a brown tone and it has dark patches around its nose. It also has white legs and big ears. It measures 15 to 21 inches long. It weighs from 3.5 to 6 pounds.

  5. The kit fox lives in the western part of the United States and north central Mexico. It can be found in grasslands, valleys, woodlands and deserts.

  7. The kit fox eats kangaroo rats, cotton tail rabbits, black-tailed jack rabbits, prairie dogs, insects, lizards, snakes and fish. They are nocturnal and search for food at night.
