  3. His goal was to find spices and jewels in Asia.

  4. He set sail in 1497.

  5. The name of his ship was called the Matthew.

  6. He asked the king of Portugal, but he said no.

  7. Cabot did not find jewels and spices, but he did find a great fishing spot.

  8. He was given the name “ The great Admiral”.

  9. Finally he was lost at sea.
