STAR Instruments Inc. advances its NDIR sensor on the 2-block NeSSI footprint for CO2 measurement in the 3-30% range and now characterizes phosphate and nitrate in liquid service. Additionally, Applied Analytics Inc. is set to release a refractive index analyzer in January 2007, featuring precision up to 0.00001 RI units and dedicated fiber-optic connections. Connectivity enhancements from Intertec will allow remote set point adjustments and monitoring via the NeSSI-bus, integrating smart components for optimized processes.

Updates on NeSSI Components • STAR Instruments Inc. • NDIR on 2-block NeSSI Footprint is closer to production for CO2 measurement in the 3-30% range (gaseous service) NDIR on 2-block NeSSI Footprint has also been characterized for Phosphate and Nitrate measurements (liquid service). • NeSSI M8 or M12 connector is standard. • All optics and electronics are on-board the analyzer mounted to the Modular Substrate Manifold.
Updates (cont.) • Applied Analytics Inc. • Refractive Index analyzer on 1-block NeSSI Footprint should be released during JAN2007. • Unit will characterize Refractive Index to 0.00001 RI units. • It will have fiber-optic connections only to the NeSSI-mounted sensing probe. • Controller and User-friendly interface can be mounted remotely.
Updates (cont.) • Intertec heater • working on connectivity to the NeSSI-bus • the ability to set a remote set point and monitor a process variable from the SAM in a smart GC
