The European Projects Unit aims at boosting the local entrepreneurial system by set up of international partnerships and effective promotional networking It pursues this goal through the direct involvement in international project proposals, mainly called by European Commission www.luccapromos.it Strategy

  3. www.luccapromos.it EU projects unit facts The EU project unit is working since 1 and half year and 3 employees are involved in the daily issues

  4. www.luccapromos.it Activities (1)‏ • Monitoring European funding opportunities through call for proposal procedures, in collaboration with the Euro Desk of the CCI • Set up of consultation tables aimed at identifying project proposals • Identifing operational frames • Writing and submission of projects

  5. www.luccapromos.it Lucca Promos also supports (co-operate with) the CCI of Lucca in the whole project cycle management Activities (2)‏

  6. www.luccapromos.it Gained Experience • Projects submitted as CCI supported by Lucca Promos • 3 Interregional Co-operation Programmes • 1 Intelligent Energy Programme • 2 Externalised Co-operation Programmes (i.e. EU-Turkey Chambers Forum managed by Eurochambres and TOBB)‏

  7. www.luccapromos.it Gained Experience • Projects submitted as Lucca Promos • 1 Externalised Co-operation Programme - Invest in Med – (programme thatdevelop Foreign Direct Investment and trade flows into the Mediterranean region; build sustainable business partnerships on its north and south rims; promote co-development in the Euro- Mediterranean region) • 1 Pro€invest Programme (EU-ACP programme that provides technical and financial support to organisations representing the ACP private sector in their mission of sustainable investment promotion)

  8. www.luccapromos.it Gained Experience • Network involved – some exemples • Unioncamere (more than 100 Italian CCIs; more than 100 Special Agencies; 20 Regional Union, 70 foreign CCIs) • Ascame (Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry) • CDE (Centre for the Development of Enterprises - CDE is an ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific)/EU joint Institution ) • Toscana Promozione (regional organization of the Chambers of Commerce -, the National Institute for the Foreign Commerce (ICE) and the National Body for the Tourism • Chamber of Commerce Italy-Dominican Republic

  9. www.luccapromos.it Last approved project Within the European Programme Invest in Med Lucca Promos submitted a project called “Paper Med” General Objective: increase, qualitatively and quantitatively, investments and trade agreements in the paper industry sector Project lifespan: 19 months Activities: B2B, round tables, workshop
