  1. Indian History It was the second largest city of the Harappan civilization covering an area of 370 acres compared to Mohenjodaro's 500 acres. Located on the bank of Ravi in Western Punjab (now in Pakistan), it was the first site to be discovered. It, therefore, lends its name to the entire civilization
