Montenegro Qualification Framework is the instrument which enables: • Classification of qualifications; • Comparitions of qualifications; • Developing and understanding of qualifications; • Creating links between qualifications; • A clear overview of different ways of acquisition of qualifications

Montenegro Qualification Framework is based on: • Credit rating of qualifications; • Defined learning outcomes (knowledge, skills, competence); • Transfer of credits; • Mobility from qualification to qualification; • Recognition and assessment of knowledge acquired through formal, informal and non-formal ways of learning

  4. The types of qualifications in MCF • Qualifications of level of education • Professionalqualifications • Other qualifications

  5. The importance of establishing MQF in terms of quality assurance in higher education • With a degree acquired in Montenegro it is possible to continue education abroad as well as to seek employment; • Easier recognition of content of qualificationthrough defining learning outcomes; • Evaluation and recognition of knowledge acquired through informal and non- formal education in order to gain qualification; • Encouraging and developing life - long learning; • Promoting the importance of crucial professional competence
