Environmental Impact Studies Schedule • Draft EIS submitted to the Department of the Environment – 3 April 2014 • EIS public exhibition period commences – May / June 2014 • Panel sessions – June / July 2014 • Period for public submissions to Defence closes August 2014 • EIS is finalised by Defence and a copy of the EIS is provided to the Department of the Environment – December 2014 • Minister for the Environment provides Defence with a proposed approval decision and invites comment – February 2015 • Minister for the Environment finalises his approval decision, including what conditions, if any, are required – March 2015
