  3. Who is it for? • The NSW Community • Specific target groups are: parents and carers of young people secondary and TAFE students

  4. Where is it? • Collections in NSW public libraries, 368 locations. • Website available everywhere www.druginfo.sl.nsw.gov.au

  6. The collections • Books, booklets and free pamphlets in all 368 libraries • Additional books available in all 100 central libraries

  7. About the collections • Information on alcohol and drugs • Personal stories • How to talk about drugs and alcohol with family members • Where to go for help

  8. About the collections • Updated regularly • Selected by drug info @ your library staff, evaluated by Collection Advisory Group (experts in drug and alcohol information)

  9. Book collection • Available in public libraries across NSW • Includes information on specific drugs, personal stories, drugs and the law and how to talk to teenagers about drugs and alcohol • Copies available for reference and loan

  10. Booklet collection • In all 368 public libraries in NSW • Includes information on – specific drugs how to talk to young people about alcohol and drugs drinking guidelines where to go for help

  11. Free pamphlets • Free pamphlets to take away • In all 368 public libraries in NSW

  13. Promotional material • Postcard, pocket cards and posters • Pens, USBs and other items – check availability

  14. Updating Collections • Book and booklet collections updated each April • Older items removed and new material added • Free pamphlets sent out twice a year in April and October • Website updated regularly

  15. For students The drug info collections and website include resources that support: • the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) syllabus in secondary schools • Alcohol and Other Drugs Work courses and modules at TAFE
