  2. A Kind of Grace- Day 1 Teacher Read Aloud- Building Background TM 453A “Nellie Bly and the Power of the Press” How can someone use the “power of the pen” to affect people? Was Erasmus Wilson’s newspaper column an example of propaganda about a women’s role in society? Why or why not? Bly used her articles to expose problems in society. What effect did her articles have on people?
