Campus Budget • Based on the school’s needs (personnel, curriculum, equipment, and supplies), the principal works with his/her staff to develop the school’s annual budget and oversees expenditures and expenditure controls. • Points to remember: Your budget must impact the students for the current year. Know your Federal Funds that you receive and your allowable expenditures • Federal Funds should be aligned with your Campus Improvement Plan. • Develop a Campus Schoolwide Plan.

Master Schedule • The Purpose of the Master Schedule.....is to arrange the allotted time, staff, students, and physical resources together so that optimum learning will take place. • Factors to Consider • Teachers are assigned in the areas of certification. • Students are scheduled in classes they need to take: Graduation Plans • School start and end times • An appropriately equipped classroom is available for each scheduled class

  13. Teacher Certification/Highly Qualified • Section 1119 of The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) focuses on improving teacher quality at the local level. To achieve this goal, the act requires all teachers teaching core subject academic areas to meet specific competency and educational requirements. Teachers who meet these requirements are considered “highly qualified.” • SBEC Teacher Certificates • Highly Qualified Teacher Determination Forms

Maintenance • The Principal needs to establish some procedures for staff to report repairs that need to be made. • Inspect the conditions of buildings and grounds . • Identify areas which need to be changed or repaired. • Follow through to make certain that the work is completed. • Find ways to include maintenance staff in school activities.
