  1. The Five Senses Webquest - 1st Grade Presenter: Riki Brundage EDU 505 Dr. Harrison Yang

  2. Introduction In the New York State Elementary Standards for Science, students are required to learn about their Five Senses. The Five Senses can provide important information to both people and animals about their environment. Our Five Senses tell us a lot about our world. In this Webquest, you will become familiar with all Five Senses through interactive games, activities, assignments and other resources on the internet.

  3. Learning about our five senses at a young age is very important because they are what give us information about the world around us. For those individuals who do not have all their senses, it can be difficult to find out all of what people with all five senses know about what is going on around them.

  4. Tasks On your adventure, you will learn: What the Five Senses are and their names. What parts of our body we use for each of our senses. Many examples of things we can find using our senses. Why each sense is important to have. To begin the learning about our Five Senses, you will read or listen to the story of “My Five Senses” by Aliki. - This will allow you to become more familiar with the senses.

  5. Our Senses- Process - 1st You will listen to a story about our Five Senses and follow along as you listen. Please click on the book below to bring you to the page. 2nd You will click on the pictures below of each one of our Five Senses.
