  2. History Started in the 1950’s The Europe Broadcasting Union (EBU) is a union of broadcasting organizations in Europe Marcel Bezencon Based on the Sanremo Music Festival, in Italy 1st - Eurovision Grand Prix First held in Laguno, Switzerland, at the Teatro Kersaal, on 24 May 1956
