On October 5, 2010, the Lower Moreland Township School District conducted a work session focused on reviewing the Social Studies curriculum. The committee evaluated existing materials and engaged with publishers to select suitable programs for pilot testing. After a thorough process, including site visits and analysis of technological components, they selected Harcourt and Scott Foresman/Pearson for lower grades, and Holt and McDougal Littell for World History, as well as Prentice Hall for US History in grades 6-8. Prioritizing state standards, online resources, and differentiated instruction were key factors in the selection.
