Comprehensive Plan Amendments and Zoning Map Overview for Grand Landings Approval

On May 6, 2014, the City Council reviewed the Comprehensive Plan Amendments (CPA) and Zoning Map Amendments for Grand Landings, a 774+/- acre area annexed in 2007. The plan includes 749 acres for residential use, 25 acres designated for commercial purposes, and a significant amendment to the Future Land Use Map, changing low-density residential to residential and low-intensity commercial to mixed use. The proposal offers no changes to permitted uses and amenities, includes 749 residential units and 150,000 sq. ft. of neighborhood commercial space, and suggests a 14-acre dedicated park. State agencies raised no objections.
