What I Know About Raccoons • Raccoons are small animals. • Raccoon ‘s den is very small. • Raccoon ‘s colour is brown. • They live in the den. • Raccoon babies are very small when they are born. • They cannot stand or open their eyes. • Raccoons can climb. • In the den raccoons are safe from danger.

  3. What I Want to Know About Raccoons • What do raccoons eat? • What are raccoons afraid of ? • How do raccoons protect themselves ? • Which animals eat raccoons? • Where do raccoons live ? • What are the properties of raccoons ?

What I learned about Raccoons • Raccoons are afraid of predators. • They protect themselves by climbing the trees. • Cougars ,bobcats ,coyotes and wolfs sometimes kill and eat raccoons. • Raccoons eat just about anything they can find or catch, from insects, amphibians and eggs to fruits and vegetables that they steal from people ‘s gardens. • Raccoons live in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Central America(In the forests.)

  5. HUMANS AND RACCOONS • Humans and raccoons are living beings. They have some differences and similarities. • Similarities: • Humans and raccoons can both climb . • Humans and raccoons both live on the land. • Differences: • Raccoons live in den but humans live in houses. • Humans can read and write but raccoons cannot. 
