SHSMs at Highland

The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program offers students specialized pathways to gain experiential learning and certifications in their areas of interest. This initiative, aligned with Ministry of Education standards, allows students to earn a prestigious SHSM Red Seal on their diplomas. To qualify, students must complete specific criteria during grades 11 and 12, including major and minor credits, co-op placements, and contextualized learning activities. Highland offers SHSMs in Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Arts and Culture, and Information Communication Technology (ICT), fostering valuable skills and real-world experiences.
